Help with our 1st Paint Project

The CCEA will join forces with RiseUP to tackle our first outdoor painting project – a privately owned building at 101 Pope Parkway in Hartford. The kids will learn about color theory and design, develop commercial painting skills, learn skills to make them work ready, and receive feedback/coaching for enhanced effectiveness.  We’ll also be working with RiseUP and Knox to clean up the adjacent area known as “Pope Park West” in April.

The painting project will run for 4 Saturdays in May and June. We need adult volunteers for 4 hours on Saturday, June 11th and 18th from 9am-1pm. Would you like to be part of the project? You can work and informally mentor our kids. We’d love to have you. Click HERE to register as a volunteer for either of the dates.

    1. Your daughter is welcome to volunteer as long as she is with a parent. The intent is to help informally mentor the participating kids and she’d be younger than most. But, that is OK. She’ll have fun anyway and it may expose her to kids she’d likely not meet otherwise.

  1. I work with teens and we are always looking for service projects to be a part of. Can someone please email me to discuss?
